Golf Peru and COACH+ Partner to Support National Coach

Jun 9, 2026

It is our privilege to reconnect with Golf Peru. This time, COACH+ will work closely with Golf Peru’s new National Coach, Jose Luis Munoz.

COACH+ is partnering with Golf Peru to strengthen its coaching environment and enhance support for high-performance athletes. According to Martin Alarco, Executive Director of Golf Peru, this work “forms part of a longer-term vision to build a more solid, modern, and effective high-performance environment, aligned with the real needs of our players and the evolving standards of elite sport.”

Glenn Cundari, Founder and Lead Coach Developer at COACH+, looks forward to reconnecting with the organization.

“We are ecstatic to be reestablishing a longstanding relationship with Golf Peru,” says Glenn. “Working with the new National Coach, Jose Luis Munoz, is going to be a lot of fun. The country has always punched above its weight class, and our work together will only strengthen that.”

As Jose transitions from athlete to National Coach, Glenn will observe his coaching, facilitate regular debriefs, and prompt meaningful reflection to support his ongoing development. Martin believes this approach is essential: “It will help ensure that coach development is closely connected to the realities of the athlete pathway, making the support provided more relevant, coherent, and impactful.”

While together in Peru this week, Glenn and Jose will explore both the technical and tactical demands of high-performance golf and the broader skills required to coach effectively at the elite level. Their work together will include discussions and reps on leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, reflection, and effective responses to the demands of high-performance sport.

Golf Peru’s decision to invest in the people who guide and support athletes reflects a commitment to long-term excellence. As Martin explains, “Strengthening the capacities of those who guide our players is an essential step in building a high-performance system that is more prepared, more professional, and better equipped to meet the demands of international golf.”

We have touched down in Peru and love working alongside Jose. His willingness to embrace this development opportunity, combined with Golf Peru’s investment in ongoing improvement, positions both the National Coach and the federation for continued success in the years ahead.
