First Tee Canada and COACH+ Introduce New 6-Month Coach Developer Initiative

Jun 16, 2026

An update COACH+ is very excited to share: we have officially partnered with First Tee Canada to launch a 6-Month Coach Developer Program.

First Tee Canada already has strong foundations and passionate people doing meaningful work across the country. Together, we’ll build on that momentum by strengthening consistency and connection across the nation’s chapters.

The program brings together several initiatives designed to support chapter leads in their roles and strengthen coaching experiences throughout First Tee Canada. Over six months, COACH+ will help chapter leads develop their coach development skills through monthly group calls focused on specific coaching questions and challenges. Participants will also have one-on-one conversations with Glenn Cundari, COACH+ Founder and Lead Coach Developer, to discuss their experiences and apply new ideas in practice.

Here’s what Glenn has to say about the partnership:

“The energy the chapter coaching leads have already brought is awesome. Supporting chapter staff as they grow into coach developer roles, introducing new skills, and creating effective ways to support coaches who deliver First Tee programs to children will be a major focus. Coaches need support, and First Tee Canada is answering that need.”

Alongside tailored support for chapter leads, COACH+ will host two national coaching webinars for chapter leads and coaches nationwide. One of the most unique aspects of this partnership is that First Tee Canada coaches and staff will have direct access to COACH+ for reflections, questions, challenges, and ongoing support throughout the program.

Together, First Tee Canada and COACH+ will focus on practical, clear actions that lead to meaningful and lasting improvements. By strengthening coach developer skills within First Tee Canada’s existing team and framework, this initiative aims to create a sustainable approach to coach development built on strong relationships, continuous learning, and skill development.

Adam Hunter, Executive Director of First Tee Canada, from Golf Canada, shares our anticipation for this initiative:

“We are excited to partner with COACH+ to strengthen the quality of First Tee coaches across Canada. At First Tee Canada, we believe coaches play a vital role in shaping the experiences and growth of young people, and this collaboration, under Glenn Cundari’s leadership, will play a pivotal role in the development of the team of more than 300 coaches nationwide. Glenn and COACH+ are second to none in this space.”

At COACH+, we believe partnerships like this underpin our vision for leadership: taking small steps, talking to the people who can offer support, collaborating with others, and considering coaching from a highly customized perspective rather than a one-size-fits-all framework. When we approach coaching this way, we create more opportunities for coaches and coach developers to reach their full potential.

We thank First Tee Canada for trusting us and putting their meaningful stamp of approval on a plan we cannot wait to see through!
