It has been a great pleasure and a privilege to get to know Glenn through our common work as coach developers. Glenn has a true passion for making the sport experience better through a commitment to coaching, both in the broader sport sector. He is a person of character and compassion, constantly searching for opportunities to improve himself and to support the improvement of others, modelling the very qualities shared by the very best coaches. I look forward to more opportunities to work with and to learn from Glenn in the future.
I thought TaylorMade was only a golf brand until Glenn showed me that it is also one of the many things he is offering through his approach as a coach developer. I have had the privilege to work with and learn from Glenn on different occasions in Zambia and Japan. His flexible approach, hunger for learning and genuine interest in people married with a unique ability to connect are some of his many traits.
His ability to connect people are some of his many traits. His skills of drawing knowledge from different sports scenarios and building practical approaches based on common treads makes him efficient across the coaching spectrum. Glenn is the real deal, and I can’t wait for another project together.
I cannot talk about one of my best friends, Glenn Cundari, without excitement! He attended to our Coach Developer Academy in Tokyo a couple years ago. Since then we have been working together in several occasions, including coach developer workshop in Zambia. His passion, sense of humour and of course attitude towards learning make him special. His insatiable curiosity to honing his skills for developing coaches also encourages me and others do the same. In a nutshell, Glenn is the guy who brings a lot of satisfaction, learning and fun in my life!
I’m now working with Glenn. For me this is an incredible experience and a great chance to improve my coaching skills. He encourages me to be better coach every day, giving me the tools and the confidence to achieve the clearly, manageable goals we have set. We have spent time on the things that I’m good at, as well as the ones that I need to work hard to be better. During this process I have discovered a lot of information and skill that I didn’t even know existed. He is a passionate professional who really wants you to be the best version of yourself.
Having great coaching is critical to the success of our club. It’s important to have all of our coaches on the same page, and that’s where Glenn shines. Providing a club-wide framework and philosophy for success in terms of long term athlete development is an important aspect of any athletic organization and Glenn has brought that stability to our volleyball club. When issues arise throughout the season, it’s critical to have an expert with experience to assist our coaches – Glenn does just that. On a number of occasions, Glenn has helped to bridge the gap between parents, players, and coaches, which has been of vital importance. We are fortunate to have Glenn to support our coaches, which in turn has helped to grow our club.
I have been a weightlifting, track and field, and strength and conditioning coach for close to four decades. Though Glenn Cundari’s specialties differ from mine, for years we have collaborated on projects and discussed methods associated with helping athletes improve both physically and mentally.
I have always found Glenn to be most thorough and careful; nevertheless, in an instant he can reveal a daring approach or tactic. Indeed, I remember watching a young Glenn, in one season, mold a major bantam hockey team, over- stocked with individual players, into one of the best squads in the country.
